Landscaping
Landscaping is a part of any yard. HTU provides a look that tries to restore the tree's and natural beauty as well as keeping in mind what is best for the tree. HTU has been a part of many cutting edge techniques and practices. We will always push the envelope and try new things. For example, HTU is one of the few companies that utilizes a landscape and excavation tool called an Air Spade. The Air Spade is ahead of it's time. Using compressed air at speeds about 1200 miles an hour removes the soil around trees without damaging any roots. The Air Spade is capable of radial trenching, grade changes, soil areation, and root excavation.
Rain Gardens
Rain Gardens can offer the home owner an alternative to a soggy yard by creating a detention basin for rain water to collect in. Rain Gardens can be started as seed or by plant selection. A selection of plant species designed to tolerate fluctuating water levels and poor water quality are placed in the basin to thrive in the wet dry conditions. A high diversity of plants allows changes in species composition from the wetter bottom area to the dryer slopes. Species composition can successfully change with a series of wet or dry years. For dryer areas above high water level, use a different mix suitable for your site. This Rain Garden method can help control your rainwater runoff and give you an aesthetically appealing yard.
